I think this movie is a must-see for anyone in any country who has ever played in a high school/garage band in any context. Too bad this film is not appreciated from that angle, and seen mainly as a social commentary/realist drama...

not a particularly flashy film, but one i liked a lot. the moments of humor were both bleak and touching. wish i could see more films like this, instead of the usual blockbuster and wannabe-blockbuster schlock.

1 d4 o; U w9 cmore than a few times as i watched, i wondered how the finished film would affect its adolescent actors' attitudes towards a musician's life, which has a tendency to seem rather glamorous thru the prism of youth.
