Yoon Sang-hyun to make big screen debut through romantic comedy
Actor Yoon Sang-hyun will make his big screen debut in an upcoming romantic comedy flick.
Through a press release this morning, MGB Entertainment officials confirmed that Yoon has been set to play a vocal trainer named Shin Hong who works at a clinic for tone-deafs in the film, "Tone-deaf Clinic" (translated title).
"I was looking for my follow-up project that can show different sides of me as an actor. When I was handed with the scenario, I figured that this was the character that I was looking for and I can show off the talents that I have," the actor was quoted as saying.
Yoon's musical talent has been well known after the actor sang his rendition of a popular song on SBS' "Secret Garden" in 2010.
"Not just vocal lessons, but I'm also learning to play musical instruments including piano and guitar," Yoon added.
Actress Park Ha-sun is known to play the female lead with Yoon and the film go into shooting early next month as soon as the whole cast finish their script reading sessions in April.
Yoon debuted with TV series "Marrying a Millionaire" (SBS, 2005) and rose to stardom through smash-hit series "Queen of Housewives" (MBC, 2009) and another hit drama “Secret Garden” (SBS, 2010).
In his latest small screen project last year, MBC's "Hate to Lose," he played the male lead with Hallyu star Choi Ji-woo.
Meanwhile, Park debuted in 2005 with SBS drama "Miracle of Love" and gained more recognition with her role as Queen In-hyeon in MBC's historical drama "Dong Yi - Jewel in the Crown."
Her latest credit is MBC's "High Kick 3," in which she plays a comic character alongside rapper and actor Ko Young-wook.
