I just finished eps03 & 04. wow, there are so many so-called cold humors in the first 4 episodes and the pen-storyline is getting clear, but the love-storyline is still developing. there will be a love triangel or rectangle, are they? I am just wondering how the scriptwriter will unfold the relationship and entanglement among those main characters. Wow, some minor characters have lined up to ready hook up with any of the big four, like gossipy Oh Nara, cool officer Mr. Shin, plus that would-be singer. some complained that Dennis' performance left much to be expected, but, i think he is improving himself evidently. I like these lines very much in ep04:
17’ 45’’(a brutal killer)
Jap1: Is it this girl?
Yoo-Il: Yes.
Jap1: Is it this girl who took that pen?
Yoo-Il: If you don’t trust me, ask her yourself.
Jap2: Did you indeed take his pen?
Soon-Ae: Though I did not take it on purpose, I did take that pen away from him. Chuishiwonmida.
Jap2: It’s true. She said she took the pen
Yoo-Il: I don’t lie. My work is done. She is your problem now.
Jap1: Wait, what we should do if we can’t get the pen from her body?
Yoo-Il: If I were you, I would get rid of her.
27’40’’(a gentle lover)
Yoo-Il: You’re awake?
Soon-Ae: Yeh?
Yoo: let me see that wound
Soon-Ae: Ah?
Yoo-Il: (whispering) it’s OK, It’s OK.
Yoo-Il: It hurts?
Sun-Ae: BTW, who were those guys a few moments ago?
Sun-Ae: Ah, we don’t know each other’s language.
Yoo-Il: It’s been a mistake taking you to that place. But it wasn’t completely my fault. Your suspicious behavior’s bringing us to it.
Soon-Ae: Yeh?
Yoo-Il: You don’t know how convenience you don’t understand English, do you?
Soon-Ae: Yeh?
Yoo-Il: I don’t need to lie to you, do I?
Soon-Ae: Hum (smiling)
Yoo-Il: Can I tell you a secret?
Soon-Ae: Hum? (shaking her head)
Yoo-Il: I am not that kind of spy you’re thinking I am.
Soon-Ae: Hum, (smiling)
Yoo-Il: I took you to that place, so that you took the blame.
Soon-Ae: (feeling pain) err....
Yoo-Il: I am sorry. I am sorry.
Yoo-Il: Hum.. you are in danger now.
Yoo-Il: I don’t know if we can see each other again from now. But, if we do, I’d tell you about my mother. I don’t know, I don’t know why, I just feel comfortable talking to you. It’s not because you don’t understand English either.
Soon-Ae: (staring him)
Yoo-Il: It’s done.
Yoo-Il: Oh, what do you think?
Soon-Ae: You did this very well, too! …(admiring)
Yoo-Il: (boasting) It’s better than a normal hospital. I’m a licensed doctor, too.
Soon-Ae: Yeh?... (losing her mind)
I was amazing how Sang-mi handled this language barrier with so few words It will be much better if Dennis can speak some Korean or his assistant can speak some English. but, hey, that may dream come true in Sweet Spy 2 right now we have to bear this duck-chicken talk. I enjoy it, at least, we understand half of the conversation |
