Kang Dong-won — 姜东元
Cho Han-sun — 赵汉善
Lee Chung-a — 李青儿
Guiyeonee — 可爱淘
What would you do if two hot-looking guys loved you at the same time? Well, this is the dilemma that Lee Chung-a's character faces in the movie The Temptation of a Wolf. The film is based on the Internet novel by Guiyeonee. Fans of the book have been waiting for the film adaptation for a long time, and the news that actors Kang Dong-won and Cho Han-sun had been cast for the two male lead roles increased their anticipation. The Teen Times met the three actors to talk about the movie.
★Could you tell us about your characters?
Cho: My character Ban Hae-won is a really cool and confident guy. He is good-looking, strong and is from a wealthy family. He's got a nice motorbike and even a car. So he's kind of an upper-class rogue. But he's also sincere and faithful. I like the character very much.
Kang: My character Jung Tae-sung is a sad and lonely boy. He has no family. He isn't really an attractive character. Actually, he is a bit unstable and very temperamental. He even falls in love with his own sister.
Lee: Jung Han-kyung, my character, is not pretty, but she's a very nice girl. She is warmhearted and always cares about other people. As shooting went on and as I got to know the character in more detail, I started to think and act like her. And now people often say that she and I are just alike.
★What was the most difficult aspect of shooting the film?
Lee: I had to cry a lot which was really hard. The funny thing is, the director picked me at the audition because I cried very well. But I found it almost impossible to cry in front of the camera. Especially in one scene where I got on Cho Han-sun's back. I had to cry very sadly, but I just couldn't do it. So Cho had to go back and forth as many as 26 times until I could. I was terribly sorry for him.
Kang: The action scenes were the hardest, definitely. We didn't hire any stuntmen -- we did all the stunts ourselves. We had several big fighting scenes, but the biggest one was particularly difficult. We filmed that scene for five days. I think it was the hardiest time I've ever had in my life.
Cho: I totally agree with Kang. It was raining and we felt very cold. And I hurt my arm quite badly during one of the stunts. It was so painful that I couldn't help crying.
★I've heard that Mr. Kang and Mr. Cho have been close friends for a long time.
Cho:. That's right. We met around four years ago. Both of us were models at that time, and we worked together. Soon we became very close because we have the same tastes. We love to play soccer and computer games. He's a cool guy, and I'm jealous of his good-looking face and sexy hips (laughs).
Kang: .Cho is very good at soccer. I think he should have become a soccer player. He also has interests in various fields. So I'm learning many things from him. Many of my friends also like him.
★Mr. Cho and Mr. Kang, in the movie, you fall in love with the same girl. What would you do if that happened in real life?
Kang: I'm sure that won't happen. We have very different tastes in girls. But if we ever do fall in love with one girl, I will willingly give her up for my friend. What a nice friend I am!
Cho: Well, if the girl chooses me, I wouldn't have to give her up. But if she likes both of us, I would definitely give her up. It's because I don't like complicated situations.
★Mr. Kang, your character Tae-sung loves his sister in the film. What do you think about that?
Kang: I think it's possible to love one's own sister. Tae-sung and Han-kyung didn't grow up together. And Tae-sung always missed his sister so badly. So I can understand how he feels. It's not like incest or anything like that.
★Mr. Cho, this is your first movie. Are you satisfied with your acting? And how was the kissing scene?
Cho: In fact, I don't like my acting at all. They say that one shouldn't expect too much on the first attempt, but I think I could have done better. But it was a great experience for me. The director was very nice to me and helped me a lot. And it was fun to work with Kang and Lee. And I found the kissing scene very difficult. I was quite shy about it, actually. I wanted to finish the scene as quickly as possible, but I made a lot of mistakes and we had to do the scene again and again. But Kang was jealous of me (laughs).
★Miss Lee, your character is loved by two gorgeous guys. In real life, who would you choose?
Lee: I would choose Ban Hae-won. He is very self-centered, but I like his confidence. Jung Tae-sung is a lovely boy, but he is very unstable. If I had a boyfriend like him, I would have to worry about him all the time. I want someone I can rely on.
