即将在8月上映的影片《大叔》的主演元斌于日前参与到时尚网站ELLEATTV的一个特别项目“Movie Still”之中。时尚网站ELLEATTV在7月15日曝光了元斌在该项目中的新写真，在写真中元斌或深沉或专注，尽显熟男魅力。引起了媒体和粉丝的关注

据悉，“Movie Still”是一项结合时尚与电影的联合创作艺术项目，该系列将直接由参与其中的电影演员担纲完成，意图通过这样的方式来展现演员眼中的世界。在此次公开的“元斌的Movie Still”（Movie Still by Wonbin）中，元斌将展现的是男人内心的孤独爱情，预计该作品将制作成精美的视频与粉丝见面。

元斌本人亲自参与到了自己的作品的企划、摄影和后期制作的长期过程之中，将自己在影坛10多年来的收获和灵感以及自身的感受全部表现在该作品之中。

此前ELLEATTV也曾推出过“Movie Still”的两部作品。在第一部作品中，演员李美妍与夜店DJ、卡车司机、时尚潮人三种不同职业的男人分别演绎了三段或纯真或激情的爱恋，而在第二部作品中，演艺圈素以姐妹淘知名的金善雅与金正恩飞赴夏威夷拍摄了关于女性之间友情的作品，类似《末路狂花》的公路电影题材在当时也引起了网络的轰动。

另一方面，“元斌的Movie Still”将于8月11日在网站ELLEATTV上公开放映，关于影片的幕后花絮及放映相关内容将刊印在时尚杂志《ELLE》的韩国版8月号上。  编译/Ben

Won Bin: ‘I Almost Killed Myself While Filming Action Scene’

"When I first tried to perform a wire stunt, I had the impression, ‘It is too tough, I should not do this again. I could die while I am filming this action scene.’ The most dangerous moment was when I fought holding a sword in my hand. If I did something wrong even slightly, I could hurt my eyes or my face.” -Won Bin

In the production presentation for the movie “The Man From Nowhere,” which was held in Apgujeong CGV on July 8, the main protagonist Won Bin revealed that the action scenes were very difficult for him. In the movie, Won Bin played Tae Sik, who is the former member of a special forces unit and lives alone by running pawnshops. When a girl living next door, who is his only friend, is kidnapped by a criminal organization, he throws himself into the fray to save the girl.

Won Bin said that trained to use a gun and a sword three months before filming began. He said, “Action scenes take up a large portion in this movie. I have agonized over how I can deliver my emotion to viewers, the emotions of urgency and impatience to save the girl to the point of giving everything I have.”

He explained that he decided to appear in this movie because he was really touched by Tae Sik’s love demonstrated by risking his life to rescue the girl living next door, who was not even his family or his relative.

Director Lee Jung Chul said about Won Bin, “He is soft and delicate. Those aspects are advantages for actors who have to act with a child. Also, I was horrified by his expressionless face when he performed action scenes.”
He continued to explain, “I have worried about how to show the process of those two people coming to understand each other. I read many postings on the Internet which compares this movie with movies such as ‘Leon’ and ‘Man On Fire,” and I agree with those people’s opinion. But, I focused on Korean sentiments, and the action scenes are rather realistic than spectacular, so there are clear differences.”

The role of the girl is played by Kim Sae Ron. She received attention for her splendid acting in the Korean-French movie “A Brand New Life, 2009,” which was directed by Ounie Lecomte. Kim Sae Ron said, “At first, I did not know Won Bin, but I found out who he is just before beginning filming when I saw his TV commercial.” Her utterance raised a laugh.

The movie “The Man From Nowhere” will be released on August 5.

Won Bin takes violent turn in new film
[08/07/2010] Hallyu hunk Won Bin will be in Jason Bourne mode come August, slashing, shooting, and breaking faces to save a little girl from stock bad guys in his latest film “The Man from Nowhere,” or “Ajeossi” as it is called locally.

Known throughout his career for playing soft, sensitive men, the pan-Asian heartthrob will be all suited up in black ― the default uniform for screen tough guys in Asian gangster films ― taking a violent turn as a merciless enforcer against criminals of the underworld.

The word “ajeossi” has several connotations ― none of which the 33-year-old star has been associated with until now.

How did it feel being called the word most Korean males dread after having been considered Asia’s sexiest movie star?

“Of course I’d like to always be called an “oppa,” Won joked during the official unveiling of his film at a press conference in Seoul on Thursday, adding “I’d want to remain an ‘ajeossi’ only on screen.”

Directed by Lee Jung-beom, the film follows the travails of a man with no name ― a la Sergio Leone’s spaghetti Westerns ― who befriends a neighborhood girl played by newcomer Kim Se-ron.
Perhaps inspired by Hollywood films like “Man on Fire”, the two characters form an unlikely friendship. But like in Denzel Washington’s blood-soaked film, the story’s title character goes on a mission knocking off one thug after another in pursuit of the girl after she is kidnapped and taken hostage.

“My character is someone with a tortured past and lives his life in self-imposed exile from society. But when he meets this innocent little girl, her warmth and humanity pulls him out of his reclusive state little by little,” Won said.

“This is an action drama and the most important thing for us was to make this violent and hardened man likeable to audiences, and we tried showing that as best we could through the scenes which involve my interaction with (Se-ron).”

Lee Jung-beom, whose previous film also had much to do with the criminal world, said many brows were raised when Won Bin was cast in the title role.

Up until then, his boyish, clean-cut looks and repertoire created a soft image which was difficult to shake off.

“It is true (Won Bin) is seen as someone very fragile and somewhat soft,” Lee said.

“But that was the key reason why we cast him ― because it would be believable that he would open himself up to this little girl. And I saw in him someone who could switch from soft to vicious in a blink.”

Having played typical leading men in his previous films, Won began considering more challenging roles, starting with his portrayal of a mentally challenged man in Bong Joon-ho’s critically lauded psycho-thriller “Mother”.

It was through his convincing performance in that film that the public began to see the acting range in a man widely regarded as just a pretty face with no acting chops.

“The first time I met him he was already excited about the project. I could tell he had a lot of fun reading the script and it showed as he was very enthusiastic in creating this character,” Lee said.

“It’s a very macho film and it’s true I’ve cast typically macho-looking actors for my previous films. But I’ve always been interested in depicting not just outward machismo but machismo that comes from the inside and I felt (Won Bin) did a great job in doing just that.”

The film opens nationwide on Aug. 5.

"I was strongly attracted by Tae-Shik's character. It's not that there's no dark side in the movie where there's child kidnapping, but if you look at it carefully, you will be painted with warm feeling to Tae-Shik and So-mi's mutual sympathy. There's a hidden code called 'love'. Tae-Shik, who has a warm heart under a dark shade,'s complex character attracted me to the full. "Many people pay attention to the point that 'Won Bin did action scenes', but the most important thing in this film 'The Man From Nowhere' is the rapport between Tae-Shik and So-Mi. Action is in the second order. The course that Tae-Shik, who lives turning his back on the world, opens his heart to So-Mi, and then So-Mi got kidnapped, till the scene that Tae-Shik comes out to the world, there're always emotions following through. If this part could be conveyed well to the audience, it would be good."

"Everytime I work, I feel as if I was at the starting line again. I think I naturally lacks many things an actor should have. My heart throbs, my body trembles, and I feel fearful as if I was a newcomer always. Perhaps, this will not change even in the future. Not a debut of 15 years, but even 30 years, 40 years, still the same. (laugh)"  

"I think helping others is a more valuable act than anything. Therefore, I take it as a matter of course that I have to do steadily for all my lifetime, rather than setting the time, and being restricted to the form. Anyone can help others. We have to start from something. Do not be afraid and try putting things into practice, starting from small things. This will brighten the world a lot. (laugh)"

- The title 'Uncle' doesn't seem to match your being a 'flower (pretty) boy'.
▶ When I was very young, being called a 'flower boy' was good. However, at some moments, such word became a burden to me. Nowadays, I think being called so is a strong point and a blessing for me. I don't think that it strongly needs to be changed, and I'm not trying to dispel such public perception, either. So, if I try the roles that I can naturally do at my age, it's likely that the transformation will not be shown.


- People's preconception about Won Bin is 'a flower boy', and the thought that there're no other choices but to restrict the work follows. The thought that this kind of thing doesn't match you, and you shouldn't do.
▶ Because of the image that my face gives, there has been such a thing as restriction. But now, it's a bit more open, I think. It seems appearance is not that important to an actor.


- It's your first single lead role this time.
▶ I had never thought that I would be alone, and I had never felt the burden of being the sole lead, either. This is the first time having such experience, so I don't even know what to think about it. So, I concentrated only on the things I was doing.

- Being one of the first generation of Hallyu (Korean wave) stars, you didn't do such Hallyu activities much.
▶ It is my view, but as a matter of fact, I felt worried about what I could show to the audience at such events. I have nothing to show. When I was questioned why I didn't do many activities in Japan, my thought was I prefered to show them my works as an actor.


- You're also called a 'seclusive star'.
▶ I'm not seclusive. I get around freely well. Maybe because I don't mingle with many people that it gave such impression.


- You tend to hide your face a lot.
▶ If it's to meet for work, then it becomes to simply meet and simply get apart. Because of simply getting apart, it doesn't hurt by any means. When seeing people, I also tend to require a lot of time. And it's not that I'm stingy with my words. It's only that there's nothing to talk in particular, so I don't.


- How about alcohol and cigarettes?
▶ I can't drink much, but I do smoke. I did quit for several months, but then I resumed smoking again. It seems because of my work that I have to smoke on the film set.

Appraisal from people surrounding Won Bin is that Won Bin 10 years ago and Won Bin now are not so different. He is quiet. He is modest. He is warm-hearted. Such unchanging character, his family don't even know well about. His parents who still do potato farming in Jeongseon, Kangwon-do as before... nor his elder sisters would bother this entertainment's younger brother. He is not 'actor Won Bin' who the world knows, but simply is the youngest child, 'Do-Jin', to his family always. When talking about his family, a warm smile filled up his face.


－Your parents living in Jeongseon must be worrying about their youngest son's marriage a lot.
Our family naturally do not interfere with each other's lives. I've never heard my parents saying anything about marriage even once. Only my mom sometimes asked me on the phone, "When are you gonna do drama?" In the old times when KBS2 drama 'Kkokgi (2000)' was aired, it was the best. When it comes to my movies, my parents watch them but they don't criticize. They don't know much.


－It seems your private life is the thing you won't expose.
It's because I don't have such private life, so I have nothing to expose. I spend my life doing really not many things. It's different from the beer TV CF where I said 'You don't even know the taste of beer'... I actually can't drink much. You have to meet people. But such opportunity is not likely. I've never tried having any blind dates even once.


－So, what do you do when you're alone?
When I was young, I liked to play Starcraft. The Protoss. While shooting this film, I did try playing with the staff for a short while. Ugh... now it's not ok for me. My skill dropped a lot. Ha ha~ My enjoyable hobbies now are painting and photography. When I have time, I do drawing works. I like fishing, too. But when not getting any fish after 2 hours, it's really distressing. By the sun... by the wind... my head gets dizzy... now what I seem to be doing here. Ha ha~


－‘언젠가’로 정해놓은 인생에 근사한 계획은 없으신가요.

여행을 좋아하는데 시간을 내서 가본 적이 없어요. 늘 일이나 촬영 때문에 잠깐잠깐 들르기만 했거든요. 언젠가 전세계 일주를 하고싶어요. 어떤 나라나 대륙을 정하지 않고 쫙 도는거요. 완전히 다른 세계를 보고싶어요.

키스신 NG없이 빨리 찍으려고 노력

　한류스타 원빈이 신민아와의 황당 열애설에 대해 처음으로 입을 열었다.


　영화 '아저씨'의 개봉을 앞두고 최근 스포츠조선과의 인터뷰에서 원빈은 "(신민아와의 열애설에 대해) 알고 있다"고 운을 뗐다.


　그는 연예 관련 기사의 댓글을 꼼꼼히 본다거나 트위터, 미니홈피 마니아는 아닌 편. 오히려 아날로그적 감수성에 가깝다. 그래서 자신에 대한 소문도 비교적(?) 늦게 알았다. 주위 사람들이 그 '황당 스토리'를 전해줬다는 이야기.


　"광고 때문에 세 번인가 만났을 때 그 소문을 처음 들었다"고 밝힌 원빈은 "그냥 웃었다"고 말했다. 이어 "이런 핑크빛 루머에 대해 신민아와 이야기를 해본 적 있느냐"고 묻자 "촬영장에서까지 말을 꺼낼 필요도 없는 일"이라며 특유의 조용한 미소를 지었다.


　원빈과 신민아는 지난해 커피 CF에서 실제 연인보다 더 연인같은 모습을 연출해 "진짜 사귀는 것 아니냐"는 의혹에 휩싸여왔다. 특히 매번 뜨거운 키스신으로 화제를 불러 일으켰다.


　두 사람의 너무나 실감나는 연인 연기에 네티즌들은 "둘이 사귄다고 해도 믿겠다" "너무 잘 어울린다" "정말 커플이 아니면 저런 연기 할 수 없다" 등의 반응을 보여왔다. 또 한 설문조사에서 'CF 속 가상 커플 중 실제로 잘 됐으면 하는 커플' 1위로 선정되기도 했다. 이들의 키스신을 패러디한 영상물도 쏟아져나왔다.


　"CF 속 연기가 너무 리얼해 이런 소문이 나온 것 아니겠냐"는 지적에 원빈은 "사실 첫 촬영 때는 많이 어색해했다. 첫 만남에서부터 로맨틱한 설정을 소화해내기란 쉽지 않은 일"이라고 밝혔다. 이어 "그런 장면(키스신)을 찍을 때 일수록 NG를 내면 안된다"며 "한번 NG가 나면 더 어색해지고 감정 잡기가 힘들어진다. 오히려 최대한 빨리 찍으려고 노력한다"고 활짝 웃었다.


　원빈은 요즘 '아저씨'의 다음달 2일 개봉을 앞두고 그 어느 때보다 바쁘게 뛰고 있다. 감성 액션 영화를 내세운 '아저씨'에서 온 몸을 던져 고난도 와이어 액션신까지 소화한 원빈은 다음달 본격 무대인사를 통해 팬들과 직접 만난다.
