Call the cops, it’s a daily drama that doesn’t suck!
Granted, I still feel a little nervous about the fact that this show doesn’t suck. I am always kind of waiting for that moment when it will turn into CRAZY MAKJANG and crush all my dreams. Because this drama always makes my heart feel like warm mashed potatoes that have just been heated in the microwave days after Thanksgiving. Eww, that’s kind of a gross image. I apologize, except not, because the soju makes me feel unapologetic. Tee hee!
But seriously, this show is so warm, and has this wonderful slow rhythm to the proceedings. It takes its time and isn’t afraid of focusing on storytelling and establishing its characters. Even if some of its characters are complete cliches acted by useless actors. And some of the scenes where they’re all laughing happily (and fakely) together make me cringe. HOWEVER. It’s still a warm-hearted, sweet show that never fails to put a smile on my face, and gives me hope for the daily drama genre. This is what happens when you put talented people behind the camera. You get QUALITY! Even if I am still pissed that they’re forced to write a daily drama at all. At least they’re making one that I can actually stomach! I don’t think that’s happened…ever. For me, anyway. IT’S A MIRACLE! 2012 IS A FRIGGIN’ MIRACLE!!!!
