[轉貼]: 另一篇 bi 大邱 concert 後記
都好長, 要用耐性看 o我!!!!
This is super long. Once I started writing I couldn't stop, so hopefully you won't be bored with my rambling...I wrote a lot about my trip in general, as you can see what kind of an experience i had... it was completely nuts... I wasn't planning to go but just decided at last minute... anyway it was crazy...
I was catching the red-eye flight from HK to Korea on Friday night. Flight was delayed from midnight to 1:30am – and finally arrived in Korea sometime around 6:30am Korea time or so – basically sleeping for only maybe 3 hours that night on the flight. On our 1hour ride to Seoul from the airport, we saw the most amazing sunrise (the sun was this round orange ball) – and our first thought was the scene from Rain’s concert with the song “Ways to Avoid the Sun”. It was funny, everything that we saw in Korea – we somehow could find some kind of connection to our beloved Bi. Since we couldn’t check into the hotel yet, we just changed and cleaned up in the bathroom in the hotel lobby and then dashed off to catch the bus to Daegu.
Since by the time the concert is over the last train or bus back to Seoul may already have left, so to avoid staying a night in Daegu, a bunch of Korean fans in connection with some Chinese fans who were studying abroad in Korea chartered 3 buses to carry a bunch of us to Daegu. It was a funny sight, 3 buses full of ppl (well, I think 100% females) waiting around near a fastfood restaurant to get on the bus. Most of the ppl were wearing some sort of Rain t-shirt or other rain gear. I think the local Koreans were very curious to see what was going on. They put a rain picture in the front of each bus (each titled, “cute rain”, “sexy rain” and “gentle rain”). Anyway I’m amazed at the dedication who organized the buses – they made sure everyone who signed up got on the buses, they gave us sandwiches, water, candy and brought rain dvds to watch on the 4-hour journey. The Korean fans gave us quizzes and those who answered correctly got rain presents (like really hot CK posters etc) – and even gave out presents to those who didn’t answer any questions (some questions were really tough but amazing ppl could still answer them right…). I’m really thankful to this group of fans who put this together, they are amazing.
More than 4 hours later we got to Daegu – it was almost 3something, almost 4 pm by the time we got there. I joined up with line for the VIP standing section, you want to line up early as there are no assigned seats. There was one line for Korean fan club, one line for the Japanese/ Taiwanese tour groups and one line for other overseas fans. We were waiting behind these gates like it was a freakin horse race and waiting for the gates to open so we could run inside. It was actually quite a bit of a disaster getting in as everyone was very anxious and they had to keep order. They had this one guy shout in Korean on directions on what they wanted to do with the lines but none of the overseas ppl could understand him. To be fair, they let one Korean fan in then one tour group fan and then one other overseas, and then started again with another Korean fan, etc. Once we got into the pit, we had to STAND 2-3 hours in this packed mosh pit where you could barely move, couldn’t even really go out to the bathroom without the risk of not being able to come back! I was in the, maybe 5th row, towards the center so very close... There were def more than 600 ppl in there, maybe more like 800 or 1000. I don’t know, it was super crowded, even more so than Bangkok. [Some fans were getting really pissy and pushing and etc]. I really think they packed more ppl in there than was really possible….. One small step towards making this an international event --- there was an announcement asking everyone to take their seats quickly, and also said that the VIP section was very packed so told everyone to be careful and not to push or do other “dangerous” stuff… anyway they said this in Korean, ENGLISH and Japanese. I was amazed as they’ve always just done everything in Korean.
Finally the concert begins. Wow. His hair was beautiful, I’m sure you’ve seen the pictures. The front section is thinned out and curly with the back in a ponytail. His first dance was as powerful as ever. And his smile. Wow. I really think the thing that differentiated this concert from any other one this year was the number times he flashed this grin. I think he was genuinely happy to show off to his home base. It was really difficult to take photos as it was so packed in there (everytime I tried to take one ppl would move and brush against my arm so everything turning out blurry). I had a videocam but I haven’t a chance to check out whether my success with that either. He talked A LOT. I had no idea what he was saying of course, but it was none of that my babies my girlfriend scripted talk. He was just talking and chatting with his Korean fans – there were quite a lot of interaction, he was getting a lot of responses from them. “Handshake” was amazing. In “I do” – yes he dropped his hat. He kept yelling “woah” every 2 sentences as he was dancing in I do… you can see he was definitely working it up and working the crowd with these sorta ad lib “woahs” every where. Also in I do, at the end, his hair was all wet and curly and no longer in a ponytail and he shook his head and all the sweat was shaking off – and then he gave a big grin… he looked like a cute little puppy who just took a bath and was shaking the water off. Omg.
Also you can see that he had WAAAAYYY more energy in his dancing than in the shanghai concert. He did extra wiggles of his butt and extra power in his stomps and kicks and hand movements. Again he kept smiling all the time. In “Nan” he threw his used towel near my direction, I was pretty close to it but alas, could not get it… anyway… He knew that we were all dying for it so again he shifted his pants down another inch and played with his belt buckle… looked like he wanted to take the buckle off and then finally took his entire shirt off… and not only that, he extended his arms out (like a cross) several times and held it there for a while (like saying “look at me, this is your perfect photo op!!!”). It was wow, super wow. He was a thinner and more cut than in Shanghai (which was only 3 weeks ago!)
The next section was hot hot hot. Instead of Goodbye Rock version with the fireworks… and after a bit… comes “I’m Coming”. This was in my opinion the absolute highlight of the concert. I think he put all his energy in this dance and it did not disappoint. It was probably the best live version of that song/dance that I’ve seen him done. Just something the power of his movements this time… you could definitely tell. The crowd was on fire by the time it was over. Then he did a bunch of talking and made us take out our cellphones and wave them during “with u”? (sorry I really couldn’t understand this part in Korean) and I think he was saying “left right left right” and we were all dancing like that. It was super cute. Then he talked again… I have absolutely no idea what he said (and haven’t looked up translations yet online) but some of the overseas fans who knew a little Korean) … they think he’s saying that RWT is coming close to an end (no more shows under this format?) and he thanks everyone (fans, backstage workers… and he laughed as he almost forgot to thank his dad) for support. [ok hopefully some translations will show up so we know exactly what was said]. Then he started singing Not a Single Day. This is my favorite song from Rain. I was almost in tears coz it was so beautiful… and I was thinking what a crazy experience it has been for me in the past 10 months that I started like Bi, chasing him all across Asia. He did a perfect job of this song, I particularly like the acapella part in the beginning. You could see in his eyes during this song that he was thinking a lot, probably looking at the full moon above (this was outdoor stadium, it was BEAUTIFUL weather by the way) and thinking about all his past experiences while all his fans during this time, were no longer screaming… they were quietly singing along and just enjoying a moment of Rain just showing what he got vocally.
Next came Friends… again beautiful. Looked like prince charming in his white suit. Finally it was the encore section… he was pretty high and splashed water again all over. I THINK the encore section last just a bit longer in the Bangkok concert.
He was definitely waaaaayyyy better than his Shanghai concert. To be perfect honest, his Shanghai performance was the least powerful in all his RWT I think… at least that I’ve seen. He looked a bit tired and out of it… but in Daegu it was top notch. He smiled so much and did so many cutie dance moves and shouts. He talked at ease with his fans and interacted with them… I really wish I understood Korean – I think it would have made the concert even better. By the way I forgot to mention, his face, ie the condition of his skin, was amazing. It was baby smooth and pretty white (not pale but just not very tan)… he really looked like a baby. I don’t remember much from the concert coz it’s all just blurring together but I will never forget his baby smooth skin and cute grin.
We ran back to the bus and began our journey back to Seoul. All of us were exhausted… by the time we got back to Seoul it was 2:30am… It was quite miserable, we were starving (we didn’t really have lunch or dinner as there was no time all day and they didn’t really sell much food at the stadium) and ate some ramen in the hotel room (I ate Rain’s favorite brand of ramen and drank “today’s tea” – the tea drink that he endorses… hahah). By the time we got to bed it was almost 5am… it had been such a long long day….
The next day, we got out pretty early and went to the Lotte Duty Free store. As you know he endorses this also, so there’s a huge picture of him outside the building. It’s funny we go to Seoul and didn’t even check out any tourist sites – instead our “tourist sites” were all rain-related. There were all these posters etc of Rain in and outside the store so we took pictures of them. They have this promotion where you can exchange a calendar if you buy a certain amount ($200, $300, $500). The calendar has rain (but not all rain, it includes 2 other Korean stars who endorse lotte). They had samples of the calendar so we had no shame and took pictures of all the pages which had rain in it. Also there were a couple of fullsize cardboard figurines of Rain – so we took pictures with him. It was cute. None of the employees seem to be in shock with what we were doing – obviously there are a lot of fans who have done the same thing. There were some Rain things on sale too (official lotte stuff) – like this candle holder thing, a notebook, paper clips things… the entire rain set in lotte costs around US$50. It was funny as there were a series of around 9-12 billboards outside Lotte building which changes every say minute or so between Rain and another Korean star who endorses Lotte. So when Rain’s pic pops up we ran around taking the pictures and it would change to another dude after a min so we had to wait again to finish taking the pics…. There were so many other fans taking photos also, it was hilarious.
Finally we went to Myeongdong to walk around – there are a couple of places there that sold Rain stuff (not official stuff of course, they sold like pillow cases, socks, keychains, calendars, clocks with Rain’s pictures on them). They were selling similar versions of the Bi scarf (you know the black/white/grey one he wore from berlin) and so i bought one hehehe. And then it was off to the airport. Our flight had many fans from HK who were going back also, so it was really fun to talk to them about the whole weekend.
Overall it was an amazing time… my first time in Seoul really and too short… The concert was memorable, esp it is probably going to be the last RWT stop. It was actually super uncomfortable to be packed in that overcrowded pit and we were exhausted from the pushing in the pit, the many hours of traveling, the standing up in the pit for more than 2 hours just waiting for the concert to start, the lack of sleep and food... just for those 36 hours in Korea....but hey anything for our beloved bi... I really can’t believe that I’ve been lucky enough to go to 6 concerts now. Once I sort thru my pics and videos etc I can share and post what’s good. Well, anyway, I hope Rain will continue, constantly improving and bringing us new stuff to enjoy. Words cannot describe it… I really really love this guy!
PS: this photo has nothing to do with the concert. have you seen this b4? from the lotte calendar
