‘찌질이’ 현대 남성에서 남성미 넘치는 과묵한 무사로 변신하기 위해 무술과 승마 훈련. 웨이트 트레이닝 등에 들인 그의 노력은 이달 중순 KBS 수원세트장에서 진행된 첫 촬영부터 강한 인상을 남겼다. 덥수룩한 장발과 수염을 흩날리며 피에 물든 갑옷 차림으로 장검을 자유자재로 휘두르는 모습이 마치 ‘글래디에이터’의 한 장면 같았다고 드라마 관계자들은 전했다.
