Singapore's very own Marina Bay Sands is turning out to be quite a star magnet these days.
After Japanese boy band SMAP stepped foot into the integrated resort earlier this year to film a commercial, Korean actors Eric Mun, Han Ye-Seul, Jang Hee Jin and Lee Jin Uk recently completed filming for their upcoming drama Spy Myung Wol there too.
The production crew and entourage from Spy Myung Wol were in town from June 6 to 16, and occupied about 50 hotel rooms.
The lively romantic comedy would also be Eric's comeback drama after the member of Korean boy band Shinhwa was discharged from the army on Oct 30 last year.
Spy Myung Wol tells the story of a beautiful North Korean spy Myung-Wol (Han Ye-Seul), who goes to South Korea, in an attempt to kidnap popular Korean entertainer Kang Woo (Eric).
Many scenes from the drama were filmed specially at the iconic Marina Bay Sands, which is the venue sponsor for the show.

Filming took place at various locations within the property, including the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands, Sands SkyPark, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Event Plaza, hotel suites and lobby.
According to a Marina Bay Sands spokesperson, the integrated resort hopes to reach out to people in Korea, who have heard about but not seen the Marina Bay Sands.
"When the producers showed us the script starring the biggest names in Korea, who have worldwide appeal, and the broadcaster that the series would be aired on, it was an opportunity too good to turn down," he added. |
