The summary of the interview is as follows;

: G, A* W& ~8 V$ h' U+ q( ^+ xAt the beginning of 2003, she is flying to Canada where the icecapped muntain, the Rocky (3500m height) is, and there she is filming the first domestic mountaineering movie enduring the icy coldness of 15 degrees of frost with one hundred of staffs and crew members involved for two months. She is Kim En Sook, a female director of " Icy Rain". Going through the shooting inside our country in Dec., for the rest of the movie, she is going to White Horse area, Yukon Territories of Canada in which includes the edge of Rocky mountain ranges. 8 C3 e: |3 D1 t0 \( s

Just as It is a risk climbing mountain depending on steigeisen and a seil ( crampons and a rope ), so is this film a risk, considering its opening the first page of mountaineering movie that Korean film has never conquered. Its production cost is as much as US$5million dollars. This femail director, who became the first-time female director leading Korean blockbuster film, is somhow unexpectedly a woman of compact build and low tones of voice. - L& N! Q- T0 t1 z: S4 n3 x

That's because the movie focused the thrilled adventures happening in the climbing process on Nature and a true appearance of human under the extreme situations instead of dealing with entertaining action movie. & I4 W1 l, M) e% d9 M' m

在艱苦環境下呈現的人性最真實的一面

The goal of the film, " Icy Rain " is in discovering human and love renewedly. "The story is about the two climbers facing with death come to discover their love which was deeply rooted and left cold and clean like snow in their hearts." and "It's a specific melo drama as well as a mountaineering movie." said the director Kim.

She also say that she will fill "Icy Rain" with a true heart of life as much as spectacles, and she asserts that recently many Korean movies pulled big hits off , on the other hand the classy and refined movies get smaller. That sounded like her resolution that she'll make "Icy Rain" a film with such a fun and a deapth.

' \7 q, |5 |* J9 c5 Y1 gThe background of "Icy Rain" is awe-aspiring and grand Janpan Alps. Five climbers sumit to this ice-snowcapped mountain and eventually fall down on steep ice and meet with disasters. Through heavy injuries and severely coldness, the fear of death come over to them every moment. At this serious moment, their chief leader , Kang Jung Hyeon (Lee Seong Jae ) and one of his members, Han Woo Seong(Song Seung Heon) feel immersed in the beautiful and cold memories of time sharing with her as if to stand the pain. Jung Hyeon is married, so he couldn't love her as he likes, and Woo Seong couldn't but swallow her inside of him because the woman he loved loves another man.
