I am not supposed to bring a run down of details about episode 11-12 kissing scene aftermath . The question brings on though. DID BOONG-DO AND HEE JIN HAVE SEX? And some would say, yes.
I SAID NO.
THEY DID NOT.
NO.
Just because we saw a smiling hee jing cuddling in the morning , we assume something happened.
With the heart shaped couple cups hints that they finally made it.
BUT NO.
Because you see this:
He marveled looking at her from afar. I want to quote my friend :
"And the fact that he was watching her from a distance.. He was shown outside the door or walls of the house- metaphor for choice.distance.offlimits. because if they did, he should have been sitting on the bed while watching her sleep."
Also, he is NOT naked. He’s tucked with his buttoned sweater. If writer hints a sex he should have been shown without clothes on. (Flashback to episode 10. The epic zoom in moment of his chest, abs, shoulders).
THEN THIS.
Kim Boong-do travels back and forth in order to settle matters in Joseon:
1. He went to see the monk, discussing about his choice of leaving 1694 for good. And more flashbacks:
·Boong-do’s tour in Seoul happened before his meeting with Hee Jin that night in the red carpet. After regaining his memories (remember the gap , when he retrieved the talisman , it was nightime then came his next scene in the telephone booth, which was during the day) he’s deciding whether to give up Joseon life or not.
·He called Hee Jin’s phone.
·Then went to see her instead.
2. He went to retrieve his sword to sell it again.
PLUS THIS.
Hee Jin thought of Boong-do’s travelling to Joseon that night because for obvious reasons that she woke up alone. Finally thinking of Boong-do’s player image.
Seriously, if you had a fun satisfying sex with a man like him would you think of other option like he made a quickie in Joseon for the remaining hours?
AND
Thinking of Boong-do’s stamina, of having all THAT ENERGY to do all things at once: Make love. Travel to Joseon. Meet the monk (and there’s no car to speed up the travel to the mountains). Get the sword. Go back to 2012.Sell the sword. Buy a bike.WHOA BOONG-DO did you just take viagra ? How damn smart are you for considering that pill at that very moment?!!

Yes. I’m quite frustrated that some would settle that our beloved InGwa couple had sex in episode 12. That despite Boong-do’s natural reaction when he thought the talisman was burnt, we thought of them that they had sex. (yes lemme phrase it over and over again for those who want to read that word often, thank you).
Despite that poignant proposal he made to Hee Jin we thought that they had sex..
That Poignant yet powerful proposal. Breathtaking. I died.
“I said I would take responsibility. I suddenly came into your world and turned it upside down. I don’t think it is enough to just be your boyfriend for some time or buy you an expensive car or spray water on him.”
HE ASKED HER.
“How is that? I could only think of that solution.”
HE ALWAYS ASK FOR HER PERMISSION. EVEN IF HE TAKES RESPONSIBILITY HE WOULD WANT IT TO BE DONE IN THE RIGHT WAY. HE’S A NOBLEMAN. THOUGH ONCE MARRIED HE WON’T STAKE OUT THAT RESPECT FROM HEE JIN’S PRIDE. HE VALUES THAT PRIDE THAT EVEN A MEAL WON’T BE SUFFICED TO RECOGNIZE/ATONE HEE JIN’S KIND HEART.
At the beginning of this series, we’ve known them as time conscious freaks. Episode 1 - 4 will let you see how Hee Jin won’t like to miss any opportunity. To Boong-do, you will always hear him saying “Shigan-i opta” (There’s no more time) to his assistant.
However they defied themselves and conformed to wait (Episode 8 ) for Boong-do to attend his tasks in Joseon , sorting things out. One month. They both agreed to wait for a freaking agonizing ONE MONTH. THEY KNOW THEIR PRIORITIES. Despite the odds of time and space.
Lastly,
