AAE Recap - Monday's Episode (June 6, 2005)
Warren finally returned the videotape to Erica and told her he had already deleted the evidence of her crime. Erica hurriedly went home to play the videotape and heaved a sigh of relief when no images appeared on the screen. But she missed the part when Warren appeared on the tape. This night, Kenneth went alone to Nicole’s house and placed a stalk of rose at her door. He hoped Nicole would understand his feelings for her. When Nicole came home and saw the rose, she smiled sweetly…
Warren decided to marry Erica afterall. He had deleted her part in the videotape because no matter what she did, he would still love her and accept her. But he could not let her go on hurting Nicole, he decided to announce their relationship! When his mother heard of his decision to marry Erica, she was enraged and chased him out of the house. Nicole was also shocked when she heard the news from Auntie Alma. At the top floor garden, she asked Warren about Erica.
Nicole : My goodness! You’re back with Erica? You even left home in order to marry her? I was so shocked when Auntie called me.
Warren : It’s a long story.
Nicole : Is this what you wanted to tell me the other day? You’ve been tortured by her in so many ways and you still want to be with her? How could you have fallen for her?
Warren : Don’t talk about this anymore
Nicole : Warren.
Warren : Now that you know I’m back with Erica again, you should believe Kenneth. There is really nothing going on between them. Kenneth is a good man.
Warren knew that he was the only one who could stop Erica now. Her ambitions had already hurt too many people, he couldn’t let Kenneth and Nicole become victims of her ambitions again. Later at night, he went to wait for Kenneth outside his house and invited him for a couple of drinks.
Warren : Did you get a shock? I turned up out of the blue.
Kenneth : No, I had long wanted to have a drink with you. You came in time.
Warren : I have patched back with Erica.
Kenneth : Really? This is great! Congratulations.
Warren : I want you to know about it because Nicole was under a lot of pressure because of me. I feel so ashamed. I feel sorry for Nicole.
Kenenth : I’m ashamed too because I didn’t try to understand her better.
Warren : Because of her kind nature, she couldn’t bear to leave me in the lurch… but I just want you to know that… even though she helped me a lot, her heart has never moved a step away from you. Nicole loves you very deeply and I hope you understand this…
Kenneth felt his heart miss a beat. Nicole loved him? Nicole loved him! All the years of waiting had not been in vain! He rushed to her house…
Nicole : Why are you here at this hour ? Is there anything you want?
Without a word, he grabbed Nicole’s hand and dragged her out. Nicole fumed mad hy his action.
Nicole : Kenneth(Senior)! What’s the matter? I want to go back..
Nicole turned to leave. But Kenneth wasn’t going to let her go this time!
Kenneth : No, you are not going back! From now onwards, I am in charge. I won’t listen to you anymore, you have to listen to me. (His eyes shone with the love for her) I don’t know when we end up like this, but that’s not important anymore. In future, you can only like me, only think of me, because I want to be like this as well…”
He looked at her. Nicole’s eyes brimmed with tears but he continued…
Kenneth : Even though I knew you were under a lot of pressure lately, I have not been showing you with the due care and concern, the main reason being the fact that I was also too tired… but I won’t leave you to your problems again, and I won’t let you have the chance to talk about another break up. I promise.
Nicole’s eyes were filled with joy, she tried not to cry but tears of happiness and relief flowed down her cheeks. Kenneth had tears in his eyes too. He held Nicole in his arms, once again… in his arms. He felt so contented. Till a broad smile returned to Nicole’s face again, they walked hand in hand into the beautiful moonlight…
Judith decided to go to England to further her studies and the nine p.m. news broadcaster’s position would be up for grabs. The two main contenders would be Erica and Nicole. Erica challenged Nicole to compete for the position but the latter was frustrated at her position-hungry nature.
Nicole : If the position means so much to you, take it by all means! I just hope that you will treat Warren better.
Erica was furious to learn that Warren had told Nicole of their patch back. She questioned Warren and was further shocked to learn that even Kenneth knew of the matter.
Erica : What did you tell Kenneth? You had wanted to cling on to me, right? Cling on to me using that videotape? Who are you to stand in the way of my future? Let me tell you, from now onwards, we are through!"
At this time, someone wrote an anonymous letter to the company, saying that Erica had worked in a nightclub before. Allan asked Erica about the matter and the latter denied it. Allan said that the letter might be someone playing a prank and asked Erica not to take it to heart. Erica was furious because she knew that this must be the doing of Jasper.
This night, Nicole missed Kenneth very much and gave him a call. On the other line, Kenneth asked her gently.
Kenneth : What special occasion is it?
Nicole : The day I was knocked down by your car! We should meet up today, right? But it’s already eleven thirty p.m. now… (Nicole was wearing the cap Kenneth gave her back then in London.)
Kenneth recalled that it was the day heaven tossed Nicole to him? On that day… an angel hit his car… He wouldn’t miss this day for the rest of the world! He hopped onto his car and rushed over to Nicole’s house. On the way, he was delayed by road works. After overcoming so many obstacles, this little roadblock would not deter his determination to see his beloved Nicole. He got down of his car and ran all the way. When he finally reached her house, Nicole was already pacing up and down at her gate. Perspiring, he looked at his watch and said…
Kenneth : Still have five minutes left. On the way, I was thinking what we should do and I finally found the answer…
Before Nicole could react, he moved forward and embraced her tightly in his arms, thinking he wanted to hold her securely in his arms like this forever…
Nicole : (asking him sweetly) Are we going to do for the next five minutes?
Kenneth : It would be a waste to do anything else…
He wanted to remember this warm embrace for a long, long time… |
