I understand your concerns but it is not important at all since the series already ended. People who enjoy watching series and sincerely want to watch a series will still watch it....just one simple thread in here does not make any importance at all. In fact, keeping that thread on the first page is the most unnecessary. I'd rather see that thread sink to the bottom of this forum. Anyhow, it seems to be more practical to discuss the topic, series in a productive way in this thread or other more thoughful thread.
The professional review should be discussed and debated about........not some plain commentary by some that didn't appreciate the series the same way we do. Not to say they are wrong, they just don't appreciate it..so why bother?
=)
I enjoy QSS very much...and I know the storyline does not appeal to everyone..That is okay with me.
I love the characterizations in QSS...These are people with flaws and makes tons of mistakes.
It is the success of the series to see that people are "hating" these characters due to their mistakes....I hate these four people for making these mistakes. But I don't regret one bit about their story. I followed their story with so much passion!
But characters are different from the actors. I appreciate the actors and director's work in QSS. The actors were very brave to try this storyline.
For Eric...I think this is a departure from his pretty-boy image. In Episode Nine, I was impressed by his ability to be true to the script without thinking about his image. He did not care that people might "hate" him because of his character. He is not likable as Kang Tae Joo. At least not easy to like him...but that is what makes him interesting as a character. Eric did a fantastic job...He was fearless, honest and took the risk...AND that is what makes a good actor. I truly have more faith in him taking bold roles in the future after QSS. I think Shinhwa might pull him back because of the younger population as fans..but he should plunge forward risking his young fans and stay out of his Shinhwa-comfort zone. If he could do that, I believe he can be a very unrestrained actor that has no boundaries.
