不知道面包桌球最后的卡司究竟是谁，现在一切都是传闻...

Q&A with Chuno chief producer Choi Ji-Yeong?
Now I’m so ravaged, I think I’ve lost the ability to understand let alone to translate anything.
In the grip of dark melancholia and great anticipated sorrow, here’s all I could muster:
EXCERPTS (3/16)
• 1.
Q: Is it a sad ending?
A: The plot of the drama is essentially built around actual history, in which the little prince never became King, the slave rebels never succeeded in their revolt, and the Lee Dynasty was never overthrown. The historical backdrop itself alludes to the sad ending of Chuno, a story about protagonists who suffer from the setbacks of the times. Nonetheless, we’re also trying to convey the message that, even in the face of setbacks, there is hope. And so hope will remain.
由於这部剧是根据史实（元孙从未登基，奴隶运动从未成功，李氏王朝从未被推翻）来架构情节，所以从史实回溯的话，推奴在这部分是以悲剧收场。然而，我们试着传达，即使面对历史的挫折，还是有希望的，而且希望会延续下去。

Q: Dae-Gil and Tae-Ha’s last moments?
A: As of now the issue of their life and death has been decided, but it’s still a close secret. Born to a noble family, Dae-Gil wants to create a world without the distinction of the yangban-sangnom status system but becomes a slave hunter instead. Formerly Joseon’s best military commander, Tae-Ha is unable to break away from the Confucian feudalistic order despite suffering persecutions after being made a slave. The final fate of these two men will be portrayed in the context of the extension of the distinct differences they exhibit.
But really, rather than who survives *, the more important thing is keeping alive the purpose and meaning behind Chuno. “People-benefiting politics”. Just as there are politicians who pledge to serve the people but wrap themselves in the flag, there are demon-like law-breakers, like Jjakgwi and his village, who embrace the people. Through the striking contrast, we wanted to show who really has the right end of the stick, and that even back then there were people who dreamed and struggled over their dreams.

至於生死，已经决定了，但仍然是不能泄漏的秘密。。。想创造一个没有两班-庶民的世界却沦为推奴手的大吉 与 曾是朝鲜最强武将在被贬为奴遭受迫害后却无法打破孔儒封建制度的太河，他们最后的命运将会以他们两人在戏里展现的截然不同来呈现。
事实上，不管是谁存活，更重要是让推奴背后的目的和意义留存下来。就是“利民政治”。就如同有发誓要服务人民，但却把自己包在国旗里的政客（暗指太河所代表的那一派--忠君忠国但不爱民/奴隶），也有像独耳那伙人那种包容接纳人民却如魔鬼般的恶棍。 通过惊人的对比，我们要让观众看到 到底谁手上握有正义的权杖，而且即使在那个时候老百姓还是会作梦，也会为他们的梦挣扎。

Q: Will the characters’ romances come true?
A: Well, it won’t go the extent of “Love and War” * (laughs). The triangle between Jang Hyeok, Lee Da-Hae and Oh Ji-Ho is a tough nut to crack even for the writer. Simply put, the romance will end with a look at the purity and sacrifice of love. Love without self-sacrifice is no different than being selfish.
( * Notes: "Love and War", I think he’s referring to this?)
张赫，李多海和吴志昊的三角恋是个连作家也難解的问题。简单的説，这段三角恋会以检视爱的纯真和牺牲来收场（结束）。没有自我牺牲的爱跟自私没什么不同。

Q: Will Dae-Gil’s past remain a secret till the end?
A: (On Dae-Gil’s past with Eon-Nyeon, Dae-Gil’s relationship with Eon-Nyeon’s brother Keunnom aka Kim Seong-Hwan *, and Dae-Gil’s backstory with Cheon Ji-Ho) The truth is we wanted to show all this in the early stages of the drama, however in the scheme of things, we had no choice but to throw them out. Dae-Gil must chase after Tae-Ha quickly and crossing over to flashbacks would slow the drama down. So we took them out after discussing with the writer.
( * Notes: Whoa? Not trying to be a prude, but letting the Keunnom one go is frankly just a little sloppy and irresponsible. Couldn’t they have siphoned some time from the less crucial scenes?)
因为会拉慢戏剧的步调，所以大吉的过去（与恩年的过去，与恩年的哥哥-即金素焕-的关系，和与千至豪的背景故事），我们拿掉了。
• 5.
Q: Will we ever see “Chuno Season 2”? 会有推奴第二季嗎？
A: There is a possibility but there are no set plans. If we do do it, rather than calling it “Season 2”, we might think about trying again with an on-the-ground kind of sageuk.
有可能但不确定。即使有，我们也不会叫它“第二季”，我们可能会再尝试作一个贩夫走卒类的古装剧。
