Chumbawamba的八名成员来自于英格兰北部城市利兹，这支乐队在他们的音乐里注入了punk-pop rock的节奏节拍，同时以无政府主义的音乐气质而闻名，音乐风格还包括乡村音乐、民歌Hip-Hop等，总之是大众流行的，旋 律轻快、音韵明朗，连主流音乐人也同流称道的音乐风格，但他们真正成名于世界还是在1998年法国世界杯期间的那首著名歌曲"T ubthumping"。我就是被这首歌所打动！说唱、优美的vocal、跳动的节拍…
1997年乐队在EMI旗号下发行了著名的[Tubthumper ](图)，标志着愤怒的地下朋克走进主流的视野，有趣的是其无政府主义的看什么都不顺眼的招牌POSE也很快成为公众意识；就象 是尽管标题曲Tubthumping 一度成为英国足球流氓的进行曲，但又被收录在1998法国世界杯和2004欧锦赛的官方唱片中。此碟在D版市场也曾经风起云涌， 启发新一代的愤怒青年PISSING THE NIGHT AWAY……
无论如何，象这样"I get knocked down but I get up again / You're never going to keep me down" 不怕输哪儿跌倒哪儿爬起来的精神不单适用于足球，对于习惯于长期沉默的大多数来讲，多一点儿愤怒倒也不是什么坏事——那些滔滔不 绝、慷慨激昂的歌德派Tub-thumpers却不是太少，而是太多了。 |
